Meet The RSM Team
We guarantee your students will learn and grow exponentially during the short time they are with us. They will be pushed to their creative limits and experience the excitement and hard work that goes into putting together a production in only a few weeks!!!
Jenell Sheppard - Managing Director
Jenell Sheppard is the Fine Arts director at Dallas Christian School. Under her direction the HS theatre department has won 3 consecutive State Championships along with 2 back to back Championships in MS One Act Play. Prior to her time at DC, Jenell spent 10 years directing theatre for GISD and also served as an educational consultant for the Visual & Performing Arts Department. Other accolades include High School Teacher of the Year Award for Dallas Christian School, and Middle School Educator of the Year Award for GISD. She has co-authored theatre curriculum at the middle school & high school level. Her artistic background includes experience as a singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, instrumentalist, adjudicator, director, choreographer, and script writer. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and a Master's Degree in Education from Texas A&M University. She has a passion for excellence and a heart for mentoring young people. |
LaQuita Gumm - Managing Director
LaQuita Gumm is a wife and mother of five and has been a resident of Rowlett for 16 years. She currently serves as an adjudicator for Broadway Dallas High School Music Awards and has also directed children's shows with Firehouse Theatre. Her experience in the arts include singing, acting, songwriting, teaching and directing. After receiving her Bachelors degree from Trinity Bible College in elementary education, LaQuita taught second grade, high school drama. In her local church she served as children's church director for two years and children's musical director for four years. Most recently, she has served as a fine arts coach in drama and ASL. LaQuita is excited for the opportunity to serve the children of Rowlett in helping them to realize their potential and make their dreams come true. |
Kimber Rodriguez - Musical Director
Kimber Rodriguez has spent the past 19 years as a successful music educator. During that time she has co-directed countless musicals. She also sings with the Dallas Symphony Chorus at the Meyerson in downtown Dallas & many area churches as well. She is currently the head choral director at John Horn High School in Mesquite. She is a devoted mom to her 3 loving sons. |
Kynzi Gumm - Director/Choreographer
Kynzi started with RSM as a high shool student and went on to pursue a degree in musical theatre from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has performed with various theatre companys across the metroplex including Dallas Theatre Center, Theatre Arlington, Firehouse Theatre, Garland Summer Musicals, and Rockwall Summer Musicals. She has a true gift for mentoring and teaching young aspiring actors. Rowlett Summer Musicals will always hold a special place in her heart. |

Sophia Lang- Communications/Stage Manager
Sophia Lang is a stage manager and theatre technician who has worked as a sound designer, stage manager, and audio mixer in several theatre settings. She is currently studying to get her BFA in Theatre Technology and Design from Baylor University and has been with RSM for 3 years. Sophia currently serves as RSM’s stage manager and head of communications. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with so many young, talented theatre artists. |
Troylene Moyer- Community Ambassador
Troylene is an entrepreneur and financial advisor for Primerica. She is also a full-time musical theatre mom to 5 wonderful children. She has served as a board member & the community ambassador for RSM since it first started. Her other responsibilities include personal relations representative, head of fundraising, and season sponsor liaison. |
Tracey Allred- Community Partner for Promotions & Printing
Tracey is the proud local business owner of Flat Rate Printing & Promotions . She has been deemed the RSM Prop Lady. In addition to helping with props and costumes, she also designs and prints the programs, posters, tickets and t-shirts. She is mostly proud of raising her own triple threat. |
